About Emerald Reporter
I am 20 years old. In community college, although, I’ve always been accepted to the Universities that I’ve wanted to attend. i.e. Seattle Pacific University, Washington State University, & University of Washington.
I am striving to become an Intelligence Analyst. Whether I am accepted at Dept. Homeland Security or, CIA. I don’t know yet, but IF I am. I will have achieved my ultimate goal, working foremost for our people, & secondly for our Republic.
My work history in the political field includes working for the Seattle Youth Commission. Where we the youth, a group of 25 Seattle teens from all around the city. We work to meet with other youth in the city, and find issues that youth are having. We then give voice to all youth in the city when we propose new city policies to the Mayor and City Council. We connect youth directly to city government at the Youth Town Hall, a yearly event that gives youth an opportunity to ask questions directly to City officials.
Along with my community work, I also travel, more than most others in their lifetimes. I’ve been to Paris, France, Madrid, Spain, Vancouver B.C., Canada, Houston, Texas, these trips have all been at seven days or less. Where I’ve spent most of my away time is Guadalajara, Jalisco, and Zamora, Michoacán. One year, & one month, accumulating all away time from my home-city. Seattle, WA.
Regarding Global Warming, when it’s real hot across the World and glaciers are melting, the Global warmers start saying, “See, the sky is Falling!”
BUT when people ask “If there is Global Warming, why is there record low temperatures and record snowfalls?”, the Global Warmers answer is “Well, the temperature can flucuate, even though there is Global Warming.”
I am not a Scientist, but I say this >
There are Scientists that have views for both sides. Gore can get his experts, and the other side theirs. Because Gore makes a Fancy movie, and wins the Nobel Peace Prize (We all see how little meaning The Nobel Peace Prize has, now that Obama received it for Nothing!), doesn’t sway me one way or the other.
We have had climatic changes for ions, and now is no different, although I do feel for the Polar Bears.
If it is true that we are destroying our environment by the footprint we are leaving, shame on us for destroying the rest of the Creatures on this Earth, and I think Nature will eventually Balance out the Havoc we have wreaked on Earth.
Sorry to digress a little.

I was just reading the newspaper over lunch today, and one of the stories that caught my eye was one on ice-shelf collapses. Not necessarily new news, but certainly never boring.
Today a chunk broke off of Greenland that is approximately four times the size of Manhattan. The irony comes into the story is that if it drifts too far south, it could knock off a few oil rigs in the process. Now that is a vicious circle.

That’s the basis for a good thriller. I like it.
