Dan Hesse for President – 2012!

with 6 comments

Dan Hesse, joined Sprint/Nextel at the brink of bankruptcy. He kept them away, and moved them forward. Now in March 2010, we have stemmed the loss of customers, Clear WiMax is full-fledged, and expanding, and Sprint’s Satisfaction Ratings are going up across the board.

If he can do this for Sprint, what do you think he could do for this country?

  1. I think Dan Hesse was likely hired specifically to turn the company around because he had a resume that seemed to say just that. Not everybody is cut out to be president, even if they can handle leadership roles. Unless he was an official candidate, I don’t think he’d do very well in the position, though I could be wrong. But at the same time, even if he was a candidate and even if he won, he may still do a bad job. Running the country is not the same as running a business.

Short answer: I don’t think bringing Sprint back from bankruptcy is a good indicator of his potential as president.

  2. I agree with the comment made above. Running the nation is NOT the same as running a company.

Further, I think in 2012 America should be a bit more careful and cautious. Obama was thought to be the “savior” and he’s turned out NOT to be so (gee I’m really surprised…NOT…lol). Then there was all this talk about Scott Brown but now they are saying he’s a “turncoat.” In reality, America doesn’t need a “savior”. What our nation needs is a REAL leader who will turn out to be a REAL President for the People instead of just another corporate lackey.

  4. Ha! Dan and I started at Sprint the same week a little over two years back. The company was in severe trouble and myself as well as Dan have done alot to turn the ship around. Mr. Hesse has managed a plan and a staff designed toward rebuilding a troubled organization and getting Sprint back on track. For the most part he has done a fabulous job. I would vote for him if he decides to run for president. I also wanted to vote for George Brett for president back in the late 70’s but I was too young to vote back then.
